Leapyear Studios Film School

An off-shoot of Leapyear Films, the award-winning boutique production company, we formed Leapyear Studios, a non-profit, for the purpose of teaching film craft. With our combined 60+ years in the film world, we are well positioned to address the specific needs of film students. Our experience has shown us that even the best film schools often skip fundamentals or don't go into enough detail of what it takes to be a successful new-hire with a production company or a successful indie filmmaker on the festival circuit. Our curriculum is designed to fill these gaps with a variety of classes, all taught by industry professionals currently working in the business with solid resumes in the fields of production, cinematography, gaffing, grip, audio production, visual effects, and editing.
